Healthcare sales veteran brings two decades of health plan partnerships to accelerate Upside’s expansion across the Western United States

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — Upside, the only housing stability platform purpose-built for healthcare, today announced the appointment of Amy Clark as Vice President, Western Markets. Clark will lead growth across California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, and neighboring states — spanning Medicaid, Medicare, and employer lines of business.

A 20+ year veteran of healthcare technology, Clark joins Upside from Virta Health, where she spent six years building and managing health plan partnerships. Her career includes leadership roles at MDLIVE, Best Doctors, Kaiser Permanente and Verizon’s Mobile Health Solutions division, where she developed expertise in scaling innovative health programs across complex payer and employer ecosystems.

At Upside, Clark will deepen relationships with Western health plans and risk bearing providers while playing a key role in launching the company’s employer benefits offering — a new line of business designed to help working Americans navigate housing instability before it becomes a health crisis.

“Housing is the foundation everything else gets built on — health, stability, opportunity,” said Amy Clark, Vice President, Western Markets. “I’ve spent my career helping health plans adopt solutions that actually move the needle for members. Upside is doing that work. The outcomes are real, the mission is clear, and I’m ready to bring this to every plan and employer in the West who recognizes that housing is an essential first step in health outcomes and a core pillar of care. By securing this basic need, we eliminate a primary barrier to wellness and empower members to finally succeed in their health journey.”

“Amy knows how to build trust with health plan leaders and deliver results,” said Chuck Hector, Chief Revenue Officer at Upside. “She’s operated at the intersection of clinical innovation and payer strategy for two decades. As we expand across the Western US and launch our employer product, Amy gives us exactly what we need — deep relationships, operational rigor, and a track record of turning partnerships into impact.”
